I don’t live near you, Angie, most unfortunately. Toronto’s a long way away from Long Beach. *G* However, do attend some and let me know how they were.

I’m going to recommend his Emperor Concerto. It’s beautiful and is what I listened to while writing up this post. You can find it on youtube in five parts. The women that plays it is… breathtaking. Her fingers float over the keys and the way she moves as she plays you can tell she feels the music.

Her name is Valentina Lisitsa, her channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/ValentinaLisitsa Type ‘emperor’ into the search box, the videos come up in a random order. You’ll most likely recognise Part #4, it’s quite popular.

It seems to me that it always shows when someone is writing just for the money. [nod] I also tend to wonder where the heck their head is, ’cause there are lots of easier ways to make a buck, but anyway…. :)

I don’t suppose you live anywhere near me? The Long Beach Symphony released its program for next season recently and they’re doing all of Beethoven’s symphonies, at least one per show and sometimes more. [laugh/flail] I’ll admit i haven’t heard them all, but I absolutely love the Ninth, and am definitely looking forward to the new season in however many months.

I tell people that I MUST write. It’s an OCD illness. That gets more understanding than any of my other explanations. I told my husband once that I thought I would burst if I could not get the words out of me and into print. He missed the point entirely and said that if it bothered me so much to write I should stop.

    As if.
